What is a CPSI?

A Certified Playground Safety Inspector has been granted certification by the National CertificationBoard sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to recognize and prevent potential playground hazards. Founded in 1965, NRPA is the leading advocacy organization dedicated to the advancement of safe public parks and recreation opportunities. NRPA developed the training and certification program to train and inform professionals and the public on playground safety issues at the highest national standards—ensuring that children across the U.S. have access to safe, challenging, and fun play environments.
