Acrylic Coated Silicon (ACS)
Acrylic Coated Silicon (ACS) is the newest technology in turf infill systems. Infilling synthetic turf involves granulated particles that are spread throughout the surface of the turf to simulate natural soil. There are several benefits of having infill which include: the weight over the turf that holds it in place, resiliency, and the aesthetic appeal of grass blades that are strait and uniform. Unlike other infill like recycled rubber or silica sand, ACS is anti-microbial, non-absorbent and anti-bacterial. ACS does not absorb heat like other infill so you can expect your turf to be significantly cooler during the hot days of summer. ACS doesn’t compact or degrade over time and does not need refilling as does rubber. Lastly – ACS is 100% environmentally safe and does not contain silica, zinc or heavy metals.
