EFFECTS OF CORPULENCE ON COGNITIVE & PHYSIOLOGICAL HEALTH

Corpulence and its impact on child health

The percentage of obesity in an average American teen has escalated to 21 % from 8 % in the past few years, which is an alarming number. A growing body of evidence suggests that obesity in children is directly related to junk food, lack physical activity and a sedentary life pattern.

Corpulence is known to cause different types of cancer, including breast, esophagus, colon, kidney and ovarian cancer in young children. In this day and age, exercise has become even more important. The rising screen time and sedentary lifestyle are causing myriad fatal ailments among children, which is why we need to raise awareness regarding physical activities.
